Living Word ~ a gradual hymn

Living Word, in gospel story
Your people hold you high!
Holy Word, incarnate glory,
In Jesus you come nigh.

Holy Spirit light our minds,
And chase away the dark that blinds.
Teach your ways of love and peace
As we hear the Word of Life.

Break the Word to release the meaning
Of the Father’s ways of love.
Hear the Word of Jesus, reigning,
With the Spirit’s seal, the Dove.

Live the Word, the disciples’ calling!
Show the world the joy of life,
Lived for God in Jesus toiling
To redeem our endless strife.
